Namaskaram!

The recent Paris AI Action Summit 2025 was a resounding success, where the Prime Minister of Bharat co-chaired the meeting alongside the French President.

As an entrepreneur from Bharat working in the XR-AI domain, I find it significant that our nation stands alongside the international community in shaping global AI governance frameworks—particularly given our unique perspective on deploying technology for societal advancement.

Bringing Innovation to Everyone, Not Just the Privileged

History has shown that breakthrough innovations often start as luxuries for the wealthy before eventually trickling down to others. At AjnaLens, we chose to break this cycle.

When developing India's first mixed-reality headset, we aligned with what the Paris Summit later articulated as 'AI for good'—ensuring technology serves everyone, not just privileged markets.

This commitment led us to deploy our technology first in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), exemplifying the very principle of 'capacity building in the Global South' that featured prominently at the Paris Summit.

This approach embodies both 'Jan Kalyan' (public welfare) and the Paris Summit's emphasis on what UN Secretary-General Guterres called 'AI that benefits humanity as a whole’. This is exemplified by our extensive technological adoption in ITIs and the Indian Armed Forces.

Why We Can Achieve 'Viksit Bharat' Before 2047

The government’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision is ambitious, but I truly believe we can achieve it even sooner.

The Paris Summit highlighted the rapid progress of frontier AI models. If we also optimise and harness technologies such as extended reality (XR), defence, space innovations, and other emerging advancements, we could achieve our development goals ahead of schedule.

Why am I so confident? Because Bharat is a land of visionaries-

India's intellectual tradition—from Aryabhatta to Dr Kalam—positions us uniquely to contribute to what the Paris Summit identified as the need for diverse perspectives in AI governance.

Their brilliance has shaped not just our nation but the world. And today, our potential remains largely untapped. Bharat is uniquely positioned to be the world’s leading provider of AI talent and a major adopter of AI-driven solutions.

The revival of Nalanda University last year reignited discussions on India’s lost scientific and technological legacy. Similarly, the Paris AI Action Summit 2025 marked a watershed moment in the global discourse on AI. With world leaders, policymakers, industry pioneers, investors and innovators convening, the summit laid the groundwork for AI’s transformative role in shaping our near future.

AI, Energy, and Data Sovereignty—India’s Next Big Move

Prime Minister’s co-chairing of the event reaffirmed India’s commitment to leveraging AI for inclusive growth, accessibility, and technological self-reliance. He highlighted India’s ambition to develop its own Large Language Model (LLM)—a step toward AI self-reliance and ensuring its benefits reach the Global South.

As rightly noted, 'There is no AI without energy', underscores the monumental infrastructural shifts required for AI expansion, with thousands of data centres set to be built.

While data is the new oil, a crucial dialogue in India today revolves around data security and sovereignty—ensuring that we store our data on our own servers rather than relying on foreign infrastructure.

I take immense pride in stating that, as a defence supplier, we have already achieved this milestone. At AjnaLens, all our data is stored on Indian servers, governed by Indian laws.

Why are AI and Smart glasses  at the Forefront now?

Returning to the theme of our conversation—the convergence of AI and Smart glasses is not merely a technological advancement but a strategic imperative in the 21st century.

The evolution from text-based LLMs to multimodal systems—a key technical focus at the Paris Summit—creates natural integration points with XR technologies, expanding AI's experiential capabilities.

This powerful combination marks the next major breakthrough in digitalisation, paving the way for exponential advancements in the Indian economy.

When AI and XR function in tandem, they unlock an entirely new dimension of possibilities. AI enables hyper-personalised, real-time decision-making, while smart glasses creates an immersive, experiential learning and operational environment.

This fusion heralds the dawn of the next industrial revolution, where AI-XR solutions surpass conventional methodologies.

And make no mistake—this is just the beginning.

With Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) under development, we are at the cusp of a world where AI mimics human intelligence, solving problems, reasoning, perceiving, and even understanding language just like us. Once AGI surpasses the Turing test, it will change everything.

Some More Context

At AjnaLens, we are spearheading a parallel revolution—one where AI and XR converge to redefine learning, training methodologies, and defence use cases.

From smart defence systems and AI-powered skill training to advanced medical education, AI-XR is shaping and serving the human potential in India.

Our vision at AjnaLens aligns seamlessly with Prime Minister Modi’s AI vision—to democratise technology and make it accessible to every individual, irrespective of background or geography.

While AI is often perceived as the domain of elite research institutions and technology conglomerates, we are ensuring its reach extends to grassroots-level institutions such as ITIs, vocational training centres, and skill development hubs.

Our AI-powered XR learning modules equip India’s youth with job-ready skills, effectively bridging the skill gap and driving economic growth.

Beyond grassroots-level impact, the AI-XR movement serves as a catalyst for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our work is making a real impact where it matters most. By ensuring equitable access to high-quality training, we are directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education).

At the same time, we're driving SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by providing advanced skill development opportunities.

And it's not just about education and employment—our method also supports SDG 13 (Climate Action) by reducing material waste and carbon emissions.

Today, Bharat is poised to become a global leader in AI-XR innovation, and AjnaLens is dedicated to developing indigenous solutions that not only serve India but also benefit the Global South and the world at large.

The momentum has already begun. Let’s lead it.
